Position

Haroon Younis is Partner and Head of Commercial & Data Protection at Flint Bishop. He advises businesses of all sizes—from owner-managed companies to international corporations—on commercial contracts, corporate structures, and transactions, with particular expertise in software and IT agreements.

Haroon applies his legal knowledge, combined with AI and technology tools, to help clients protect or enhance their financial positions, balance sheets, and equity value. He delivers commercially focused solutions across business structuring, intellectual property, data protection, and pre-investment or pre-sale commercial consultancy.

Career

Since qualifying in 2002, Haroon has developed extensive experience advising clients across the UK, EU, North America, and the MENA region. His expertise spans:

  • Business structures: group entities, partnerships, governance, distribution, agencies, and franchises.

  • Commercial contracts across sectors including Technology, Media & Telecoms (TMT), Transport, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Education, Utilities, and Financial Services.

  • Intellectual property: reporting, licensing, and assignments.

  • Data protection: audits, mandatory contractual clauses, and compliance advice.

  • Pre-investment and pre-sale consultancy: commercial audits, compliance checks, and “find and fix” reviews of ownership, contracts, IP, IT, and data protection matters.
