Andrew acts for individuals and charities in resolving disputes regarding wills, trusts, estates and powers of attorney.
As head of our contentious probate team, Andrew handles a wide variety of disputes for local, national and international clients. He has particular expertise in dealing with disputes regarding high value and complex estates, often including cross-border elements.
He is an experienced litigator, both in the High Court and the Court of Protection, but is also is very experienced in methods of alternative dispute resolution, particularly mediation.
Andrew frequently acts as an independent trustee, executor or administrator, often in high value and complex estates involving disputed aspects.
“We see client often at very difficult times at their lives, who are dealing with very emotive situations. Our job is to guide clients through what can be an overwhelming, difficult and stressful process. For our charity clients, managing these disputes is much a question of protecting the charity’s reputation as it is resolving the dispute itself. We know and recognise that we are ambassadors for those clients, and we recognise that in everything we do.”
