Active across the manufacturing, energy, consumer goods, pharmaceutical, and materials sectors, the practice advises on imports, exports and transit of goods, distribution agreements, trade remedies, anti-dumping investigations, sanctions, compliance, foreign exchange regulations, and disputes. Augusto Vechio, an expert in WTO and Mercosur rules, with extensive experience in international trade and customs, heads up the team with customs specialist Guido Krolovetzky, noted for his expertise in GATT, WTO, WCO, Mercosur, and Latin American Integration Association rules. The practice is further supported by a strong bench of associates: Camila Corvalán, who oversees the firm’s public affairs department; Mariano Plaza, who focuses on international trade, WTO and Mercosur rules, free trade agreements and consumer protection; and Agustín Perrino, who is particularly strong in trade remedies and anti-dumping cases. Since publication, Perrino has been raised to the partnership – effective as of November 2025.

Beccar Varela has a deeply experienced competition and antitrust team that works effectively with the firm’s other practices and advises some of the largest national and international corporations. The team is experienced in the banking and finance, fintech and technology, consumer products, pharmaceutical and biotechnology, mining, automotive, and agribusiness sectors, advising on matters ranging from cartel and other antitrust investigations and litigation to assisting clients with navigating the antitrust aspects of Argentina’s M&A landscape and with related criminal procedures and constitutional issues. Practice co-head Agustín Waisman is a leading figure in assisting domestic and foreign companies with regard to competition and antitrust law, including complex acquisitions and investigations, as well as consumer protection issues. Fellow co-head Augusto Vechio is a specialist in international trade, WTO rules, free trade agreements, export control, and unfair competitive practices.
